Chat with your coach

CourtPass has built-in chat so you can message your coach or the venue directly, and (for academy families) keep up with team and parent group chats.

App-only. Full chat lives in the iOS and Android apps. The web portal has an Inbox, but it's announcements only and read-only — you can read what the venue posts, but you can't reply or start a conversation there. For the real back-and-forth, use the app.

What you can do in the app

  • 1:1 direct messages with your coaches and venue admins — ask a question, sort out a booking, get feedback.
  • Group chats — team chats and parent groups, so everyone in a squad or program stays in the loop.
  • Attachments — share photos and files (e.g. a snap of an injury note, a schedule screenshot).
  • Polls — coaches can post a quick poll (e.g. "Who's in for Saturday?") and you tap your answer.
  • Typing and read receipts — see when someone's replying and whether your message has been read.

Getting started

  1. Install the iOS or Android app and sign in with your CourtPass account.
  2. Open Chat (or Messages).
  3. Pick a coach or a group to open the conversation, or tap New message to start one.
  4. Allow notifications so new messages reach you as push — see Notifications.

On the web

Open Inbox to read venue and academy announcements. You can't reply or send messages from the web — switch to the app to do that, or contact the venue another way.

Privacy for younger players

For academy families, group chats and a child's conversations follow the venue's safeguarding setup — coaches and admins are part of the relevant team/parent groups. If you have a concern about who's in a chat, raise it with the venue. More on the academy and the minors-privacy model in Academy.

Common scenarios

"I can't find the reply button on the web"

There isn't one — the web Inbox is read-only. Reply from the app.

"I'm not getting new-message alerts"

Install the app and allow notifications. Chat messages are delivered as push; without the app you won't get them.

"I want to reach the venue but don't have the app"

Use the venue's listed phone/email, or reply to one of their SMS / WhatsApp messages (see Notifications).
